The Flag of Flevoland is the official symbol representing this Dutch province, located in the north-east part of the country. Adopted on January 1, 1986, upon the creation of the province, the flag features a blue field divided into three vertical stripes, with the central stripe being wider than the two outer ones. The colors represent the traditional Dutch flag and symbolize unity, while the asymmetry reflects the reclaimed nature of Flevoland, which was created by land reclamation projects from the sea. This distinctive design sets it apart among the other flags of the Netherlands' provinces.
