Description:
Soulful folk singer Kazuki Tomokawa's debut album "Finally the First" is re-released in W paper jacket & HQ-CD format! Toshiaki Ishizuka (drs) and Kazuo Katsuro (g) from the brain police participated in the recording. This is the first masterpiece album of a trilogy released on the prestigious and phantom Harvest label! In terms of presence, there is no one better than this Kazuki Tomokawa. He sings of pitch-black loneliness as if he were throwing himself off a towering cliff. The listener has no choice but to surrender to the screams pouring down from the top of his head. He is an incredibly dangerous singer, and because of this danger, he is rarely heard on the radio. If one dares to name a singer comparable to Kazuki Tomokawa, there is none other than Hiroshi Mikami. Since both debuted in the 1970s, they are often placed in the context of folk singers, but of course there is no way they can fit into any conventional container. They are the rare ones who kick down all genre barriers and leave only their individual names behind. (Music critic Shinichi Ogawa)
