Soyuz MS-15 (Soyuz Space Program) The Soyuz MS-15 is a spacecraft mission launched by the Russian space agency, Roscosmos. It was part of the Soyuz program, which has been in operation since 1967 and remains one of the world's most frequently used manned launch vehicles. The primary purpose of this mission was to transport a crew of three to the International Space Station (ISS) for a scheduled stay. Launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on August 28, 2019, Soyuz MS-15 carried cosmonauts Alexander Skvortsov, Oleg Skripochka, and astronaut Christina Koch to the ISS. The spacecraft docked with the station two days later, marking the beginning of a six-and-a-half month long expedition for the crew. Upon their return to Earth, they landed safely in Kazakhstan on February 6, 2020, concluding the Soyuz MS-15 mission.
