The SPL Phonitor xe Headphone Amplifier in Black is a comprehensive standalone head amp solution designed for headphone enthusiasts. It incorporates advanced features such as Phonitor Matrix technology, balanced and unbalanced inputs, and the ability to be controlled via infrared (IR) from almost any remote.

Like other SPL Professional Fidelity products, the Phonitor xe can be operated remotely using an infrared remote control handset. By programming the Phonitor xe to respond to specific buttons on your existing CD player, DAC, or network streaming device remote, you can conveniently adjust the volume.

The Phonitor xe includes a 4-pin balanced XLR input and utilizes an advanced dual power amp circuit, capable of delivering double the power of a standard quarter-inch jack to drive headphones. This increased power enhances bass response and further enhances transparency in the stereo image.

Both balanced and unbalanced inputs are available on the Phonitor xe to accommodate a wide range of headphone models. The unit also features rear input ports that can be easily switched using the Phonitor xe's toggle switch. Additionally, simultaneous playback with both balanced and unbalanced inputs is supported without any degradation in signal quality or performance.

The Phonitor xe inherits the Phonitor Matrix circuit from the larger Phonitor X model, featuring a streamlined design with essential controls for optimizing audio playback. It includes a crossfeed switch to adjust frequency-dependent interaural levels on both channels, allowing users to intelligently fine-tune virtual room ambience when utilizing the Phonitor Matrix.
