Almond Blossom by Vincent van Gogh was painted in 1890 and is currently on display in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. This beautiful piece of artwork was painted for Van Gogh's brother and Sister-in-law, as a gift for the arrival of their baby son, who they named Vincent. Their son would go on to found the Van Gogh museum and this piece of artwork remains one that is closest to the hearts of the Van Gogh family. The Almond Trees symbolise new life and blossom branches were one of Van Gogh's favourite subjects to paint.
